What to do if the USB icon is not showing on the Compaq MP3 Player?
    • B
      Bianca SmithJul 26, 2025
If the USB icon isn't showing on your Compaq MP3 Player's LCD when connected to your PC, ensure the Player is turned on and the USB cable is properly connected to both the PC and the Player. Try unplugging from the PA-2 and reconnecting. Also, ensure the Player is plugged directly into the PC, not a USB hub, as it may not operate properly with some hubs. Finally, make sure your PC is operating normally by restarting it and then reattaching the cable.

      Caroline RamirezAug 5, 2025
If the software isn't recognizing your Compaq MP3 Player, first ensure the USB icon is displayed on the LCD screen. Then, check that the iPAQ PA-2 is the selected device. Also, verify that the MMC cards are inserted and recognized by the Player. Lastly, confirm your Player is connected directly to a USB port on your computer or a self-powered hub, and not a bus-powered USB hub.

How to fix slow response with a new MMC card on Compaq MP3 Player?
    • R
      Richard CunninghamAug 15, 2025
If your Compaq MP3 Player is slow to respond with a new MMC card, be patient, as it may take 30 seconds or more for the software to recognize the card. Ensure that the MMC card is formatted. If the card is unformatted, Windows Media Player will prompt you to format it. To format a card using MusicMatch Jukebox, select File/ Send to Device/Download to iPAQ Personal Audio Player. In the Portable Device Memory window, select the card you wish to format. Press the Reformat button to reformat the selected card.
