First, ensure the power cord is correctly plugged into both the device and the receptacle, and that the cord isn't faulty. Next, check that the 'POWER' switch is in the 'on' position. Also, the lamp access door must be completely closed and latched for the light source to function. Verify the lamp assembly is fully engaged on receptacle pins within the light source chassis. Finally, check the bulb life meter; if the lamp is expired, it will need replacement.

  Low light output from your ConMed Medical Equipment can stem from several causes. Check if the brightness is set to minimum or a low output position and increase it accordingly. Dirty fiber optic light guide lenses can also diminish light; clean them carefully. If the lamp life is almost expired, replace the lamp after checking the bulb life meter. Ensure the light guide is properly engaged, using the correct light source fitting and snapping it into place. Verify the lamp assembly is fully engaged on the receptacle pins within the light source chassis. Lastly, inspect the light guide cables; if more than 30% are broken, replace the light guide.
