Section 3 Way of proceeding
First, the patient inhales deeply, then squeezes his lips around the mouthpiece and exhales all the air as hard as
possible; the exhaled gas is converted into a rotating air stream by a turbine that rotates the blades. The receiving
part of the infrared pair of diodes (one for infrared radiation, the other for receiving) in the direction of the blade is
used to receive infrared rays, when the blades rotate, the obtained ray power of the receiving diode will differ
because there is a difference in the angle of the blade, so the various signals of the same proportions are formed in
the receiving diode, which generates a SCM detection signal after processing. Finally, the various measured
parameters are formed from the information processed by the microprocessor and displayed on the screen.

4.1 General characteristics
1. Forced vital capacity of the lungs (FVC), forced expiratory volume in the 1 second (FEV1), the ratio of
FEV1 and FVC (FEV1%), peak expiratory flow rate (PEF), 25% flow of FVC (FEF25), 75% flow of FVC
(FEF75) and mean flow between 25% and 75% of FVC (FEF2575) can be measured. In addition, the
patient's condition can be shown by the ratio of the measured value and the predicted value.
