Why does Contour Design Mouse's cursor shoot off the screen?
    • J
      Justin MillerJul 26, 2025
The cursor might unexpectedly shoot off toward the edge of the screen because the end detection sensor is triggered. These sensors are buttons located inside the Contour Design RollerMouse Pro on either side of the device. When the rollerbar reaches the edge and can't move further, the end detection sensor activates, continuing to move the cursor in that direction.

What to do if Contour Design RollerMouse Pro does not function when plugged into a USB port?
    • D
      Desiree JohnsonAug 1, 2025
If your Contour Design RollerMouse Pro isn't working when plugged directly into a USB port on your computer, try these steps: First, plug the RollerMouse Pro into a different USB port to see if the problem persists. Second, test the RollerMouse Pro on another computer to see if the issue remains. If the problem persists across different computers, it suggests there might be an issue with the RollerMouse Pro itself. If it works on one computer but not another, the problem could be with the specific computer's ports or different settings on each computer.

If the rollerbar on your Contour Design RollerMouse Pro moves the cursor but doesn't produce a click, check the orange circular tension knob on the underside to ensure it is fully inserted. This knob can sometimes partially dislodge and needs to be pushed back in. Also, if you're not using the RollerMouse Pro software, make sure the switch is in the down position (Standard mode).

      Sean JohnstonAug 12, 2025
If your Contour Design RollerMouse Pro isn't functioning when plugged into a docking station or hub, plug it directly into the computer. This will help determine if there's a compatibility issue with the hub or docking station. If the RollerMouse Pro works normally when plugged directly into the computer, it indicates a compatibility issue with the hub or docking station.

How to fix Contour Design RollerMouse Pro when it does not function via PS2 adapter?
    • K
      Kristina DavisAug 19, 2025
If your Contour Design RollerMouse Pro isn't working when plugged into the PS2 port via an adapter, first ensure the RollerMouse Pro is fully inserted into the converter and that the converter is fully inserted into the PS2 port. If this doesn't resolve the issue, try plugging the RollerMouse Pro directly into a USB port on the computer instead.
