INPUT CONFIGURATION
The module has two on board digital inputs that can be configured in a large variety of ways. All
digital inputs are pulled high and must be closed to ground. Additional REMOTE I/O can be
configured when used with an XCAN-IO-664 from simple switch shutdowns to remote engine
operation, contact CI application engineers to discuss. The example below shows a normally open,
low engine oil switch that is wired into the digital 1 input. The module will monitor this input while the
engine is running and will shut down the engine after five seconds if the modules detects the switch is
closed to ground.
OUTPUT CONFIGURATION
The module has four on board outputs that can be configured for engine operation and other
requirements. All outputs are rated at 5 amps each and switch battery positive. Typically, Output 1
and 2 are used for Fuel and Crank circuits leaving 3 and 4 for customer use. All 4 are field
configurable. In the example below, Output 4 will energize when any monitored Alarm condition is
present and remain on after the display has gone into low power mode.
