Footplate Adjustment
To determi ne the correct
seat-to-footplate hei ght,
measured from the back
of the knee to the bottom
of the heel.
All Convaid footplates are
hei ght adjustable. Fig. 29

Height Adjustment:
The soles of the feet or heels
should rest comfortably on top
of the footplates. To achi eve
thi s, remove detent pi ns on
the front of the leg tubes, sli de
the footplate to the desi red
hei ght and rei nsert the pi ns.
When the footpla te i s a dj u sted
i n i ts hi ghtest posi ti on, the
excess materi al of the calf flap
may be wrapped under the
footplate and attached with
Velcro. Fig. 30
Angle Adjustment:
To adjust the footplate angle,
loosen the four bolts on the
ou ter edge of the legr est w her e
the footplate tubes a re located.
Adjust the footplate to desi red
angle, and ti ghten the bolts.
