REMOVING THE BUMP HEAD – cont’d.
1. Follow steps 1-2 of OPENING THE
BUMP HEAD TO RECOVER LINE
to remove the bump knob from the
bump head.
2. With one hand grab and hold
steady the Anti-Weed wrap spacer,
located between the trimmer head
and the guard. There is a slot for
inserting a pin for locking the
rotation if unable to hold steady
using hand (Fig 8).
3. With a glove on the opposite hand,
grasp the lower body of the bump
head and twist it clockwise. Once
the head begins to turn, it will then
be easy to unscrew from the
trimmer.
4. Reassemble the two halves of the
bump head so as not to lose the
spring.
NOTE: There are two metal washers
located between the Anti-Weed
Wrap spacer and the motor. Be
careful not to lose washers.
