Symptom Probable Cause(s) Corrective Action
Pump will not prime.
There are leaks in the suction line.
Be certain all connections are air tight.
Test the connections by putting soap suds
on them. If there is a leak, the soap suds
will be sucked into the loose fittings.
Water being pumped is more than
6feet below the pump.
Move the pump closer to the water being
pumped.
Pump will not pump. Pump was not properly primed.
