You will need…….
Rear access door keys.
Philips screwdriver.
8mm nut runner or socket.
Playfield drive motor part No. S010146 for 220v or part No. S010147 for 110v.
Note: use only replacement parts of the correct rating specified by Cromptons. Using
parts of the wrong type could cause damage.
5.8 Replacing a playfield drive motor.
Disconnect the machine from the mains
supply before starting this procedure.
Open the rear panel and disconnect the
link arm from the motor sprocket by
removing the circlip.
Disconnect the motor electrical
connections, remove the bracket locking
screw and remove the four bracket
mounting screws.
Release the chain and pull the motor
assembly clear.
Remove the sprocket from the motor
shaft by releasing the grub screw and
remove the motor from the bracket.
Re-assemble the new motor, bracket and
sprocket and refit to the machine using
the reverse of the removal procedure.
Before a new motor is installed, visually
check that the electrical connections are
oriented the same way as the old motor.
If they are not, the orientation can be
changed by removing the four setscrews
from the motor, turning the casing 180
degrees and re-installing. If this is not
corrected the electrical wires could foul
the crankshaft.
