Vehicle Immersion
After riding your vehicle in water, be sure to
drain the trapped water by removing the
check hose at the bottom of the air filter case,
the V-belt cooling duct check hose, the drive
select lever box check hose and the V-belt
case drain plug. Wash the vehicle in fresh
water if it has been operated in salt water or
muddy conditions.
CAUTION:
If your vehicle becomes immersed, major
engine damage can result if the machine is
not thoroughly inspected. Take the vehicle to
your service center before starting the
engine.
If it is impossible to take your vehicle to a
service center before starting it, follow the
steps outlined below.
1. Move the vehicle to dry land.
2. Check the air box. If water is present, dry
the air box and replace the filter with a
new filter.
3. Remove the spark plugs.
4. Turn the engine over several times.
