Installing and Removing the Infant Car Seat
Installing with Base Using Lap Belt Only
10. Press the release button on the Load Leg and
extend it until the Foot makes rm contact with
vehicle oor. Lock Leg into place using the rst
hole that will rmly lock it against the vehicle
oor.
It may be necessary to lift up slightly on the
Base to allow the Foot to lock into the hole.
11. Place the Infant Car Seat into the Base, and
listen for a CLICK. Check that the Car Seat is
installed by lifting up on the Handle.
12. Check that the Recline Angle remains in the
blue zone on the Recline Indicator. If not:
• Remove the Infant Car Seat from the Base (pg. 64), unfasten
the vehicle belt and open the Safelock Belt Tensioner, adjust the
Recline Foot, then repeat steps 5-13 to reinstall, or
• Fully store the Recline Foot and use a tightly rolled towel or pool
noodle under the Base, near the vehicle seat back.

13. Check that the L.S.P. System is being properly used (pgs. 32-33).
