Installing without Base Using Lap/Shoulder Belts (Preferred Method)
3. Lift the SHOULDER PORTION of the
vehicle seat belt over the handle and
around the Infant Car Seat. Slide into
blue Shoulder Belt Guide A.
NOTE: Ensure that the Shoulder Belt is
routed below the L.S.P. Device in either the
extended or retracted position.
4. LOCK your vehicle Lap/Shoulder Belt.
• In many vehicles, you can switch the
Shoulder Belt retractor into locking
mode by pulling the Shoulder Belt out
all the way.
• In some vehicles the buckle locks.
Refer to your vehicle Owner's Manual for
details.
To check if the vehicle belt is locked, pull
up rmly on the LAP PORTION of the
belt between the CARRIER-ONLY BELT
PATH openings. The belt should remain
tight if the vehicle system is locked.
