Application Rules
Some applications require multiple connections, such as Internet gaming, video conferencing, and Internet telephony among others. These
applications may have diculty working through NAT (Network Address Translation). Application Rules allow some of these applications work
with the DWR-712 by opening ports after detecting trac being sent through a trigger port. After modifying any settings, click Save Settings to
save your changes.
Select from a list of popular applications. You can select a
service, select a rule ID, then click the Copy to button to copy
the default settings for that service to the specied rule ID.
Species which rule to copy the selected Popular application
settings to when you click the Copy to button.
APPLICATION RULES
This identies the rule.
Enter the port to listen to in order to trigger the rule.
Specify the incoming port(s) to open when trac comes over
the Trigger port.
Tick the checkbox to enable the specied rule.
