config 802.1p default_priority
Purpose Used to configure the 802.1p default priority settings on the Switch. If
an untagged packet is received by the Switch, the priority configured
with this command will be written to the packet’s priority field.
Syntax
config 802.1p default_priority [<portlist> | all] <priority 0-7>
Description This command allows you to specify default priority handling of
untagged packets received by the Switch. The priority value entered
with this command will be used to determine which of the four
hardware priority queues the packet is forwarded to.
Parameters
<portlist> Specifies a port or range of ports to be configured.
all Specifies that the command applies to all ports on the Switch.
<priority 0-7> The priority value you want to assign to untagged
packets received by the Switch or a range of ports on the Switch.
Restrictions Only administrator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To configure 802.1p default priority on the Switch:
DES-3526:4#config 802.1p default_priority all 5
Command: config 802.1p default_priority all 5
Success.

show 802.1 default_priority
Purpose Used to display the currently configured 802.1p priority value that
will be assigned to an incoming, untagged packet before being
forwarded to its destination.
Syntax
show 802.1p default_priority {<portlist>}
Description The show 802.1p default_priority command displays the currently
configured 802.1p priority value that will be assigned to an
incoming, untagged packet before being forwarded to its
destination.
Parameters
<portlist> Specifies a port or range of ports to be configured.
Restrictions None.
Example usage:
To display the current 802.1p default priority configuration on the Switch:
DES-3526:4# show 802.1p default_priority
Command: show 802.1p default_priority
Port Priority
------- -----------
1 0
2 0
3 0
4 0
5 0
6 0
7 0
8 0
9 0
