Prolonged use of this con-
trol in position 0 can lead to
condensation forming on
the side windows and windscreen
and problems due to the use of
non-renewed air in the passenger
compartment.
Switching passenger compartment
isolation mode/air recirculation
mode on.
A warning light illuminates on the

button to confirm its operation.
Under these conditions, air is taken
from the passenger compartment and
is recirculated, with no air being taken
from outside the vehicle.
Prolonged use of air recir-
culation can lead to con-
densation forming on the
side windows and windscreen
and discomfort due to the lack of
fresh air in the passenger com-
partment.
We therefore advise you to return
to normal mode (external air) as
soon as the air recirculation func-
tion is no longer required, by
pressing the
6
button.
Air recirculation operates as fol-
lows:
– isolating the vehicle from the exter-
nal atmosphere (e.g. when driving in
polluted areas, etc.);
– to bring the passenger compartment
to the desired temperature as quickly
as possible.
Rapid demisting
Turn controls

,
3
and
6
to positions:
– demisting ;
– maximum fan speed;
– external air.
Using the heating and air conditioning
system increases the speed of demist-
ing.
Heated rear screen
With the engine running,
press the button

(the warning light
comes on).
This function de-ices/demists the rear
screen and the electric de-icing
rearview mirrors (depending on the ve-
hicle).
Depending on the vehicle, the function
is stopped:
– after a period of time set by the sys-
tem (the indicator light disappears);
– by pressing button

again (the indi-
cator light disappears).
