Wiring of Antennas
(If Applicable)
As described previously, the antenna cable must be fed from
the outside of the unit through the control enclosure and up
to the mounting bracket with the M2M Gateway, EMM, power
supply, and fuse block. The connection is made by screwing
the SMA coaxial connector onto the appropriate M2M SMA
coaxial connector; “3G/GPRS” for cellular or “WLAN” for Wi-Fi.
(Figure 69).

LAN Connection
If using the local area network (LAN) for cloud connectivity,
a USB-to-Ethernet Adapter must be used for connection to
the M2M Gateway. To complete the installation, connect the
Ethernet patch cable from the network switch to the Ethernet
end of the USB-to-Ethernet Adapter provided with the IE kit.
Next, connect the USB end of the USB-to-Ethernet Adapter to
the port labeled, “USB2”, on the M2M Gateway (Figure 70).
NOTE: the M2M Gateway will not communicate with the cloud
if the USB-to-Ethernet Adapter is connected to the incorrect
USB port.
