OAD End Switch Calibration
The outdoor air damper end switch input requires a calibration
function that captures the command position at which the
switches open and close at the closed and open ends of the
damper modulation range. This function consists of a manually
initiated sequence that strokes the dampers fully open and
then fully closed and detects the changes of state of the
switch input and records the points where changes occur.
The sequence must be initiated while the Unit State is Off and
starting with the end switch input in the closed position.
When the CalibrateOAD parameter is set from No to Yes the
following sequence occurs:
Step 1: The damper command is increased 1% every 2
seconds until the OAD End Switch input opens.
Step 2: The damper command is then be decreased 1%
every 2 seconds until the OAD End Switch input
closes. At this point the current command % is
captured.
Step 3: The damper command is increased 1% every 2
seconds until the OAD End Switch input opens. At this
point the difference between the current command %
and the damper end switch closed value is captured.
Step 4: The damper command is increased and held at 100%
until the OAD End Switch input closes.
Step 5: The damper command is decreased 1% every 2
seconds until the OAD End Switch input opens.
Step 6: The damper command is increased 1% every 2
seconds until the OAD End Switch input closes. At
this point the current command % is captured.
Step 7: The damper command is decreased 1% every 2
seconds until the OAD End Switch input opens. At
this point the difference between the damper open
end switch value and current command % value is
captured.
Step 8: The damper command is decreased and held
at 0% until the OAD End Switch input closes at
which point the values captured in Step 2, Step 3,
Step 6 and Step 7 are written to the damper end
switch open (PosSwOpen%), Minimum switch
differential (MinSwDiff), damper end switch closed
(PosSwClose%) and maximum switch differential
(MaxSwDiff) parameters respectively.
CalibrateOAD= parameter is then be set back to No and
normal unit operation resumes.
