Daily/Weekly routine

The fill levels of the unit tank.

System stand-by pressure.

Automatic pump starting test
4
No errors indicated on the pump unit motor control panel.

No leakage from the pump unit.

The correct operational positions of unit stop and test valves.

The audible and visual alarm shall be operated for not less than 30 seconds and
simultaneously the connection to the fire brigade or the permanently manned location shall
be checked.
Note: The procedure shall be agreed with the alarm signal recipient.
In addition to the weekly routine checks, the below mentioned checks and inspections shall be
carried out and recorded at intervals of not more than 5 weeks.
Monthly routine
1
Visual control of unit supply filters.

Examine the unit filter system. Check for contamination, clean or replace as necessary.
In addition to the weekly routine checks, the below mentioned checks and inspections shall be
carried out and recorded at intervals of not more than 13 weeks.
Quarterly routine
1
Electrical supplies
Any secondary electrical supplies from diesel generators shall be
checked for satisfactory operation.
2
Stop valves
Unit stop, test and drain valves shall be tested for good working
function, positioned in the right operation position and secured.
In addition to the weekly routine checks, the below mentioned checks and inspections shall be
carried out by a VdS-approved installer at intervals of not more than 6 months.
