Pressure adjustment spool
Description: Main pump flow unloading spool.
Location: PVP (inlet) module.
Function: For open center systems it is the main relief and unloading spool
For closed center systems it is the main relief spool.
Failure mode Cause Corrective action
In open center systems the valve
sections are unstable
High wear allows leakage to tank Replace compete module
The adjusted pressure will not
remain static in a closed center
system
Low viscosity oil allowing high leakage
around spool to tank.
Remove and clean orifice. Reinstall
High wear Replace compete module
Serviceability: Spool is not serviceable. Replace complete module.
