What to do if my DanVex Dehumidifier is not dehumidifying as expected?

  If your DanVex Dehumidifier is draining some water but not performing as expected, several factors could be at play. Firstly, a drop in air temperature or humidity can reduce its effectiveness. Secondly, the humidity level on the controller might need calibration. The unit may be in a defrost cycle, which is normal operation. Check if the air filter is dirty or clogged. A low refrigerant charge due to leaks, air leaks in ducting, a damaged compressor, or improper air duct installation can also impact performance.

Why is my DanVex Dehumidifier frosting up and not dehumidifying well?

  If your DanVex Dehumidifier evaporator coils are constantly frosting and the dehumidification capacity is low, this could be due to a refrigerant shortage, possibly from leaks. Another reason may be that the air filter(s) is too dirty, causing insufficient airflow, or the duct connection is not properly done, also causing insufficient airflow. Finally, the filter drier might be blocked and require replacement.

  If your DanVex Dehumidifier isn't dehumidifying, and the fan and compressor aren't running with the controller off, check the following: 1. Ensure the device is plugged in and the outlet has power. 2. The controller might be damaged. 3. Inspect internal and control wiring for loose connections. 4. The 3 Phase Protector could be faulty, or the incoming 3-phase sequence is incorrect. 5. There might be a voltage failure. 6. The Low-Pressure Switch might be activated, possibly due to gas leakages. Check the gas pressure with a refrigerant gauge manifold and inspect the welded points on the Heat Exchanger and copper tubes for leakage points if the pressure is low.

  If, after installation and shutdown of your DanVex Dehumidifier, water overflows from the machine, it could be due to several reasons: 1. The machine lacks proper drainage. 2. The drainage is not connected correctly, or the piping is illogical. 3. Some drainage pipes are higher than the machine's drainage hole. 4. There could be a leak in the drain pan.

Why is the fan not working and the compressor stopping on my DanVex DD Dehumidifier?

  If the fan isn't rotating when the ventilation function is activated on your DanVex Dehumidifier, and the compressor starts and stops frequently before ceasing operation, consider these possibilities: 1. Obstacles may be preventing the fan from rotating. 2. Check the Controller Pin No.2 for a DC Voltage output of 0 – 10V. 3. Ensure the Controller Pin No. 1 (com) is properly connected. 4. If there's no DC output from the controller, replace it. 5. The fan bearing might be worn out. 6. The fan not running could trigger voltage protection. 7. The fan itself may be faulty.
