Dark Field Illumination
Lighting of surfaces at wide angles used to avoid direct reflection of the light into the
camera’s lens. Typically this type of lighting is used in solutions to enhance reflectance
of the uneven surface. It is also used with very reflective surfaces.
Structured Field Illumination
The light is projected with a known shading pattern on the target. The purpose of this
technique is calculating the shape, size or position of the desired object by measuring
the displacement or distortion.
