Importing new backgauge finger sets
To import new backgauge fingers in the control the following steps must be carried out:
1 A set of fingers in .ASC format must be provided. For every finger a set of files
must be available.
2 Using the import tool function on the Backup/restore page in the Settings mode
will allow the selection of the backgauge finger set.
3 After selecting the found set, the appropriate width and lay-on offsets for the fin-
gers must be programmed before completing the import. Also the name, and
optionally a description, must be given.
4 After importing one can find the finger set name in the Backgauge finger library.
5 Fingers can be selected and being used for programming new products. The
active fingers can be selected in the top of the Backgauge screen.
When all finger sets are deleted, the parameterized finger definition is re-activated.
The following additional parameter is available when editing a special finger from the
backgauge finger library:
X offset
The length difference between the front of the selected finger and the front of the finger
with which the machine was commissioned and calibrated.
