2. Remove the battery.
3. Remove the memory modules.
4. Remove the wireless card.
5. Remove the fan.
6. Remove the heat sink.
NOTE: The system board can be removed and installed together with the heat sink still attached.
7. Remove the solid-state drive/Intel Optane.
8. Remove the hard drive.
9. Remove the touchpad.
10. Remove the speakers.
11. Remove the I/O board.
12. Remove the display assembly.
13. Remove the power-button board (optional).
14. Remove the system board.
15. Remove the power button with fingerprint reader (optional).
16. Remove the power-adapter port.
Procedure
After performing the above steps, we are left with the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
