About this task
The following images indicate the location of the touchpad and provides a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
1. Open the latch and disconnect the hard drive cable from the connector on the system board.
2. Remove the three screws (M2x2) that secure the touchpad bracket to the palmrest and keyboard assembly.
3. Lift the touchpad bracket off the touchpad.
4. Open the latch and disconnect the touchpad Flexible Flat cable from the connector on the system board.
5. Remove the two screws (M2x2) that secure the touchpad to the palmrest and keyboard assembly.
6. Lift the touchpad from the palmrest and keyboard assembly.
Installing the touchpad

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation process.
