Removing the display assembly

Prerequisites
1 Remove the base cover.
2 Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 4 in Removing the wireless card.
Procedure
NOTE: The touchscreen-board cable removal is only applicable for computers shipped with touchscreen conguration.
1 Remove the antenna cables from the routing guides on the palm-rest assembly.
2 Peel o the adhesive tapes that secure the display cable and touchscreen-board cable to the system board.
3 Open the latch and disconnect the display cable from the system board.
4 Open the latch and disconnect the touchscreen-board cable from the system board.
5 Turn the computer over and open the display as far as possible. Then place the computer face down on a at surface.
CAUTION
: Place the computer on a soft and clean surface to avoid scratching the display.
6 Remove the six screws (M2.5x5) that secure the display assembly to the palm-rest assembly.
7 Gently lift the display assembly o the palm-rest assembly.
