12 Storage
12.1 Overview
The PowerEdge T410 is available in either a cabled hard-drive chassis configuration or a hot-swap
hard-drive chassis configuration. The following hard-drive configurations are available:
4 x 3.5‖ cabled SATA drives using the motherboard SATA connectors
6 x 3.5‖ cabled SAS or SATA drives using an optional storage controller
6 x 3.5‖ hot-plug SAS or SATA drives using an optional storage controller
6 x 2.5‖ hot-plug SAS, SATA, or SSD drives using an optional storage controller
The use of 2.5‖ hard drives requires the hot-plug chassis configuration and the Dell 3.5‖ hard drive
carrier and retention kit.
Upgrading between cabled and hot-plug configurations is not possible after purchase.
12.2 Internal Hard Disk Drives
The T410 system supports up to six 2.5‖ or 3.5‖ hard disk drives. See Table 11 for information on
supported hard drives. For the most up-to-date information on supported hard drives, visit Dell.com.
