There are some basic configuration environments that are required in order to support the failover
featureavailableintheDellPowerVault™TL2000/TL4000library.Refertotablebelowforfulldetails
ImportantNotes:
Mixeddrivegenerationsarenotrecommended;however,ifalibrarycontainsmixedgenerationdrives
in a single partition, and failover is a desired configuration, you must follow the LT05 environment
configurationrequirementsandthelibrarymustcontainonlyLT04mediaforbackups.
Failover is supported with a single LTO4 SAS drive installed in the TL4000 library or in a single library
partition;however,onlydatapathfailovercanbeconfigured.
TwohomogeneousLTO4drivesarerequiredinthesamelibrarypartitiontosu pportfull pathfailover.
