Removing the system fan
Prerequisites
1. Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer
2. Remove the SD memory card
3. Remove the base cover
4. Disconnect the battery cable from the connector on the system board.
5. Remove the hard drive assembly
Steps
1. Disconnect the display cable and fan cable from the system board [1, 2].
2. Remove the two (M2x5) screws that secure the fan to the palmrest and keyboard board assembly [1].
3. Lift the fan off the palmrest and keyboard board assembly [2].
