The Delta Dore Tybox 610 is a weekly programmable thermostat designed to manage heating and cooling systems, offering a range of modes and features for precise temperature control and energy efficiency.
The Tybox 610 serves as a central control unit for your home's climate, allowing users to program temperature settings based on their weekly schedule. It supports both heating and cooling modes, making it suitable for reversible heat pump systems. The thermostat continuously displays the current time, day, and room temperature, with additional indicators for the active mode (AUTO, PROG, MANUAL, ABSENCE, TIMER, SHUTDOWN) and system status (heating/cooling request).
The device features a selector dial and modification buttons for easy navigation and setting adjustments.
Users can set the current day, hour, and minute. The day numbers flash during this process, and confirmation is done via the OK button.
This mode allows users to define their desired comfort and setback temperatures. Temperatures can be adjusted in 0.5°C increments, ranging from 5°C to 30°C for heating and 18°C to 35°C for cooling. The thermostat can be switched between heating and cooling modes via a dedicated menu.
In this mode, users can create a weekly program, defining comfort or setback periods in 30-minute intervals. Programming starts from day 1 at midnight, with a default comfort period from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Programs can be confirmed and copied to subsequent days, or simply confirmed for the current day. The return key allows for modifications by returning to a specific time slot.
Once programmed, the thermostat operates automatically according to the defined weekly schedule. It displays the current day, time, room temperature, and the active mode.
This feature allows for a temporary change in the thermostat's operation for a specified duration. Users can set a duration (from 30 minutes to 72 hours) and a desired set-point temperature. The thermostat will revert to AUTO mode once the countdown ends. Settings can be modified during Timer mode, and the mode can be canceled at any time.
Designed for periods of absence, this mode protects the home from frost. Users can specify the number of days they will be away (1 to 99 days) and set a frost protection temperature (5°C to 15°C for heating mode). If the system is in cooling mode, it will shut down during absence. The thermostat will resume automatic operation at midnight on the return day.
In Manual mode, the thermostat maintains a constant set-point temperature chosen by the user. This mode overrides any programmed schedules until the selector dial is turned to another position.
This mode completely shuts down the heating system. The screen displays the current room temperature, but users can opt to display the time instead.
For reversible heat pump systems, the thermostat allows users to switch between heating (HEAT) and cooling (COOL) modes. This change is typically performed by pressing and holding the information button for at least 3 seconds. The screen will briefly show the Cool indicator and the set-point temperature before switching to cooling mode. This functionality is dependent on specific configuration settings.
In AUTO mode, pressing the information button displays either the room temperature or the set-point temperature, depending on the installation configuration. A brief touch of the button will show the current mode.
The thermostat indicates a low battery level with a dedicated symbol, providing approximately one month to replace the batteries. It requires two 1.5V alkaline batteries (LR03 or AAA). Users must ensure correct polarity and dispose of used batteries responsibly. Rechargeable batteries are not recommended. The device allows for approximately 30 seconds to change batteries before the time settings are reset.
The manual includes a troubleshooting section to help users resolve common issues such as a blank screen (check batteries), inaccurate temperature readings (refer to control unit guide), or the heating system being off (check thermostat mode).
The Tybox 610 is designed for user-friendliness and adaptability, offering comprehensive control over home climate while promoting energy efficiency through its programmable features and various operating modes.
