ADJUSTMENT
Adjusting Idling Current
NOTEAdjusting the idling current when "ECO mode" is set may damage the Power AMP.
1. Preparation
(1) Prepare a DC voltmeter.
(2) Place the unit under normal usage conditions, away from highly ventilated areas such as next to an
air conditioning machine or electric fan.
The set requires an ambient temperature of 15℃ to 30℃ and standard humidity.
(3) Settings of This Unit
• POWER (Power source switch) STANDBY
• SPEAKER (Speaker terminal) No load
(Do not connect equipment such as speakers or dummy resistors.)
2. Adjustment Procedure
(1) Make sure that "ECO Mode" is off.
Press the "
SETUP
" button on the remote control to display the GUI menu.
Press the cursor button to select "General" → "ECO" → "ECO Mode" → "Off".
(2) Remove the top cover and turn "

"(ALL Channel) of the AMP PCB counterclockwise(

far as possible.
(3) Connect the DC Voltmeter to the test points.

FRONT Rch : N5844 2, 3pin : V201
CENTER ch : N5843 1, 2pin : V201
SURROUND Lch : N5820 1, 2pin : V201
SURROUND Rch : N5844 6, 7pin : V201
SURROUND-BACK Lch : N5843 5, 6pin : V201
SURROUND-BACK Rch : N5823 3, 4pin : V201
HEIGHT1 Lch : N5820 3, 4pin : V101
HEIGHT1 Rch : N5844 4, 5pin : V101
HEIGHT2 Lch : N5843 7, 8pin : V101
HEIGHT2 Rch : N5823 1, 2pin : V101
HEIGHT3 Lch : N5843 3, 4pin : V101
HEIGHT3 Rch : N5823 5, 6pin : V101
(4) Connect the power cord to an outlet. Next, press the power button to turn on the power.
(5) Set this unit as follows.
MASTER VOLUME : "---" (
c
min.) : turn counterclockwise to the lowest position.
SPEAKER (Speaker terminal) : No load
(Do not connect equipment such as speakers or dummy resistors.)
MODE : Multi Ch Stereo
FUNCTION : DVD
(6) Turn "
V101/V201
" clockwise (
x
) and adjust the voltage of the test point to "
8.0mV ± 0.5mV DC
"
within 2 minutes.
(7) 10 minutes after the preliminary adjustment, turn
V101/V201
and set the voltage to "
8.0mV ± 2.0mV
DC
".
(8) Adjust the variable resistance of each channel using the same method.
