Accepting an
Appointment Call
You can save appointments with the
menu item
Appointments
in the
MenuCard
Messages
.
At the appropriate time, the ap-
pointment message appears on the
display and your telephone rings for
a period of one minute with the
ringer volume steadily increasing.
Press the OK key once to
switch the ringer signal off. Press
again to quit the display.
If you lift the handset off the hook
during an appointment call, a spe-
cial tone (through the handset) indi-
cates that the ringer signal was an
appointment call.
You can also end the appointment
call with the key or by lifting
the handset off the hook. Elapsed
and active appointment calls are dis-
played in the
Infos
MenuCard.
Baby Call
You can save an internal or external
telephone number in the menu item
Baby call
of the MenuCard
Protection
. If the menu item has
been activated, this programmed
telephone number is dialled when a
specified period has expired (preset-
ting is five seconds) after you have
lifted the handset. If you begin dial-
ling a telephone number within the
specified period , the baby call is
cancelled. The baby call can also be
triggered by pressing the hands-free
key or a call key .
Your system administrator config-
ures the baby call period for all sub-
scribers on the OpenCom 100, and
will be able to tell you the current
value.
Announcement
Announcements can only be made
to system telephones.
Press (but do not hold down) the
MenuCard key and select
Announcement
. The called party
will hear a special information tone
followed by your announcement.
Note: If the called subscriber is a
member of a user group for which
Intercom protection is active, no
announcements are made to his tele-
phone number.
If you receive an announcement
yourself, you will hear a special in-
formation tone. To respond,
H/ lift the handset or press
the hands-free key.
