5 Care and maintenance
5.1 Cleaning your indoor unit
A
Before cleaning or maintenance
Always turn off your air conditioner system and disconnect its power
supply before cleaning or maintenance.

Warning
Only use a soft, dry cloth to wpe the unt clean. If the unt s especally drty, you can
use a cloth soaked n warm water to wpe t clean.
•Do not use chemcals or chemcally treated cloths to clean the unt.
•Do not use benzene, pant thnner, polshng powder or other solvents to clean the
unt. They can cause the plastc surface to crack or deform.
•Do not use water hotter than 40°C (104°F) to clean the front panel. Ths can cause
the panel to deform or become dscolored.
5.2 Cleaning your air filter
A clogged ar condtoner can reduce the coolng effcency of your unt, and can also be bad for your
health. Make sure to clean the flter once every two weeks.
1. Lft the front panel of the ndoor unt.
2. Grp the tab on the end of the flter, lft t up,then pull t towards yourself.
3. Now pull the flter out.
4. If your flter has a small ar freshenng flter, unclp t from the larger flter. Clean ths ar freshenng
flter wth a hand-held vacuum.
5. Clean the large ar flter wth warm, soapy water. Be sure to use a mld detergent.
6. Rnse the flter wth fresh water, then shake off excess water.
7. Dry t n a cool, dry place, and refran from exposng t to drect sunlght.
8. When dry, re-clp the ar freshenng flter to the larger flter, then slde t back nto the ndoor unt.
9. Close the front panel of the ndoor unt.
