The DJI T50/T25 Spreading System is an agricultural spreading system designed for use with DJI Agras T50 and T25 aircraft. It is specifically engineered for efficient and reliable spreading of dry granular materials in agricultural applications. The system is compatible with the DJI Agras T50 aircraft when equipped with a 75 L spread tank and the DJI Agras T25 aircraft with a 35 L spread tank.

Function Description:

The primary function of the T50/T25 Spreading System is to accurately and evenly dispense dry granular materials over agricultural fields. It features an all-new spinner disk designed to ensure more uniform material distribution. The system incorporates a control module and weight sensors on the aircraft to monitor the remaining material weight in the spread tank in real-time. This real-time monitoring enhances the accuracy of the spread rate control and provides timely warnings when the tank is empty.

To prevent damage to the aircraft's propellers from upward-flying spreading material, the system is equipped with updated fenders. A quick-release hopper gate facilitates easy maintenance and allows for quick replacement with a small flow hopper gate. The small flow hopper gate is particularly useful for spreading materials with a small flow rate or diameter, offering more precise flow control for specific spreading operations. This is recommended if the hopper outlet size is 30% or less, or if the material diameter is 2 mm or less.

Users can configure spreading settings and create specific templates for different materials within the DJI Agras app, allowing for customized operations to meet various requirements. The app also provides warning prompts for an empty tank, as well as alerts for abnormalities in rotational speed, temperature, and hopper outlet size, ensuring safer and more efficient operation.

    • The DJI Agras app intelligently recommends the payload weight limit based on the aircraft's current status and surroundings. Exceeding this limit can affect flight safety.
  • Compatible Material Diameter: 0.5-5 mm. The system is designed exclusively for dry materials within this diameter range. Using other materials may negatively affect performance and damage the system.
  • Spreading Range: Varies depending on material diameter, spinner disk rotational speed, hopper outlet size, and flight altitude. For optimal performance, it is recommended to adjust these variables to achieve a spreading range of 4.5-7 meters.
  • Ingress Protection Rating: IP67 (IEC standard 60529) under stable laboratory conditions. This rating is not permanent and may decrease over time due to aging, wear, collision, deformation of the seal structure, or cracked/damaged shell. Water damage is not covered by the product warranty.

Usage Features:

  • Calibration:
    • Tare Calibration: Essential before first-time use or if the spread tank is empty but weight detection is not zero. This ensures weighing accuracy.
    • Empty Tank Calibration: Required if the app incorrectly displays an empty tank warning or fails to detect an empty tank. The system is pre-calibrated for empty tanks before delivery.
    • Flow Calibration: Necessary when creating new material templates or after replacing the hopper gate to ensure accurate operation.
  • Template Creation: Users can create custom spreading templates in the DJI Agras app for different materials if existing templates are unsatisfactory or new materials are used. This involves disassembling the spinner disk, collecting dispensed material for measurement, and setting parameters like material amount, spinner disk speed, and flight speed.
  • Operation Modes:
    • Route Mode (Field/A-B Operation): After setting spreading parameters and planning a route, the aircraft automatically ascends, the spinner disk rotates, and the hopper gate opens to spread material along the defined route. Spreading cannot be manually started or stopped in this mode.
    • M+ Mode: Users manually control the aircraft to the operation field, then click Start for automatic spreading.
    • M Mode: Users set parameters, take off, and can manually start or stop spreading using the Spray/Spread button on the remote controller.
  • Automatic Hopper Gate Control: In all operation modes except Manual operation, the hopper gate automatically closes when the aircraft flies along connecting routes between spreading flight routes, stopping spreading. It reopens automatically when the aircraft enters a spreading flight route.
  • Operation Resumption: If an operation is paused, the hopper gate closes automatically. Upon resumption, the aircraft returns to the breakpoint or projection point to continue spreading.
  • Hopper Outlet Size: For more precise spreading, especially in Manual operation mode, it is recommended to set the hopper outlet size between 30% and 65%.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning: After each spreading operation, it is crucial to immediately clean any residue from the spread tank and spreader, then ensure the system is thoroughly dried.
  • Spinner Disk Replacement: The spinner disk is a consumable part. If signs of wear are observed, it should be replaced. This involves powering off the aircraft, removing the pin, nut, washer, and old spinner disk, then mounting and securing a new spinner disk.
  • Hopper Gate Replacement: The standard hopper gate can be replaced with a small flow hopper gate for more precise spreading of materials with small flow rates or diameters. The replacement process involves:
    1. Removing the pin, nut, washer, and spinner disk.
    2. Opening locks to remove the base, then removing the flange and bearing sleeve by unscrewing the flange screw.
    3. Removing the circlip and the standard hopper gate.
    4. Mounting the small flow hopper gate, ensuring alignment marks on the gate and servo gear are matched before remounting the circlip.
    5. Remounting the bearing sleeve, flange, and tightening the flange screw, then mounting the base and fastening the locks.
    6. Remounting the spinner disk and securing it with the washer, nut, and pin.
  • Internal Cleaning: The Replacing Hopper Gate section also provides instructions for disassembling and cleaning the inside of the spreader.
