If
necessary shim the base
of
the
machine
until
the band
runs
parallel to
the face of the post.
If
the machine
is
{equipped
with
flanged wheels the back
edge
of
the hand
must
be 1-1/2 inches
from
the face
of
the post. When equipped
with
crowned wheels the center of the
blade
will
be 2 inches from the face
of
the
post. The blade
must
also
run
in
a
line
‘even
with
the
center
of
the post when
‘viewed from the
front
of the machine.
:Al1 dimension checks should be made
at
both
upper
and
lower
ends of post
with
Epost
in
lowered position.
4. Remove sawband, and replace filler
plate and
saw
guard.
If
table
was
not
on
machine, place table
in
position
on
trun-
nion___and fasten loosely
with
four
h_ex'_"cap
screws.
Lower
post to lowest position,
clamp
a
straightedge to side of post and

Overload protection is provided
on
the
16-3 and 36-3 by
a
magnetic switch. Under
ordinary conditions this will be ample pro-
tection.
If
the machine is started and stopped
a
number of times in rapid succession, the
overload with kick
out.
Let the relay cool
for
a
few minutes before starting the machine
again.
Provisions for connecting the machine
to
the line circuit of each purchaser
are
made
at
the DOALL factory.
A
transformer within
the machine supplies the
current
for the
INITIAL
LUBRICATION
The transmission has been drained for
shipment and
must
be filled with oil before
the machine is operated.
A
quart ‘of S.A.E.
No. 20 transmission oil is included in the
parts box shipped with the machine. Fill the
"
transmission until the -oil just begins
to

times with the table feed controls

remove
any air from the oil lines.Bring the leads of the line circuit
to
the
terminal strip in the electrical enclosure.
Press the
start
button intermittently, shift
the machine into low gear and open the
door
over
the lower
saw
wheel. Check
to
see
if
the wheel is turning in
a
clockwise direction.
If
it
is turning in
a
counter-clockwise direction
reverse
the connections
on
the terminal strip.
If
the hydraulic pump
rotates
in the wrong
direction the seals will be damaged and leak-
age will result.
All
points listed
on
the lubrication chart
under "Maintenance” should be given
an
initial lubrication. Do
not
over
oil the variable
speed pulley.

Capacity of the coolant tank is four gallons.
DOALL Soluble Oil
or
Coolant Concentrate
}' is recommended depending
on
the sawing
application.
