If the LIN bus communication between the display and the battery charger is dis-
rupted, the battery charger switches to master mode after 10 seconds. The battery
charger uses the configuration that was last saved for the battery.
7 Using the device
1. Switch off all electric consumers which are connected to the battery.
2. Connect the battery charger to the mains.
Depending on the charging condition of the battery, the battery charger starts
charging or supplies a retention voltage.

7.1 Battery charging function
The charging characteristics are referred to as modified IU0U characteristics.
NOTE
Connected DC loads prolong the charging time of the battery.
If the power required exceeds the capacity of the battery charger the
battery cannot be charged.

Meaning
Orange, quickly flashing Phase 1
Orange, slowly flashing Phase 2
Orange, constantly lit Phase 3
Green, constantly lit Phase 4
Green, slowly flashing Phase 5
Red, constantly lit Short circuit, reversed polarity or defective internal
fuse
Red, quickly flashing Battery or battery charger is overheating
Red, slowly flashing Battery over-/undervoltage or overload
