VEHICLE COMPATIBILITY
- If the retractor cannot be locked, a locking
clip will be needed in order to install a car seat
with this vehicle belt, contact your local Simple
Parenting distributor to request one.
2. Combination lap-shoulder belts with locking
latch plates. Locking latch plates hold a car seat
secure by keeping the lap belt locked unless the
latch plate is tilted.
3. Inatable lap-shoulder belts in Ford and Lincoln
vehicles can be used to secure the Doona
Infant Car Seat. For Installation without base,
follow instructions for lap-shoulder belt standard
installation in section 12.2. Most inatable vehicle
belts are labeled.
4. Lap belts with locking latch plates.
5. Lap belts with locking retractors. Pull the vehicle
belt all the way out, then let it feed back in about
12 inches and pull out again. If the belt cannot be
pulled back out, the retractor is locked. DO NOT
use a lap belt with a retractor that does not lock.
