INSTALLING THE DOONA CAR SEAT WITHOUT A BASE
STEP 6: Route the shoulder
portion between the Handle
(#2) and the vehicle seat back
(see image below).
IMPORTANT!
• Vehicle seat belt must lock, otherwise use a locking clip.
• After completing installation, check that the red level line on the side of
the seat is still level to ground.
• If the Doona Car Seat cannot be securely installed in this seating position,
try moving to a different vehicle seating position, or installing with the
base.
STEP 5: Pull the shoulder portion of the
vehicle belt (#27) to tighten the lap
portion of the vehicle belt (#28).
STEP 7: Engage the vehicle belt locking mechanism, then feed the
excess belt back into the retractor. Check for a secure installation:
grasp the Doona Car Seat at or near the lap belt path and push side to
side and front to back. The car seat should not move more than 1” in
any direction.
