DP is a flyback diode for the power steering and
hydraulic motor circuit. This circuit uses the current
created by the collapsing magnetic field of the field
wingdings in the pump motor to keep current flowing
when MOSFET TP is OFF. When TP is OFF all
current from the field goes through armature(ARM),
M-, DP, SHUNT and M+ back to the field.
When TP is pulsing the flyback circuit causes the
average pump motor current to be greater than the
average battery current through TP.
