8.4.3 Breathing circuit
Prerequisite:
– Breathing system is complete and locked.
– Breathing system cover is fitted.
1. Hoses (1) and filters, e.g., at the Y-piece (2), are connected properly.
2. Extendable hoses (3) are extended to the length intended for use.
Do not change the length of the hoses after the test is done.
3. Remove the water from the hoses (4).
4. Prerequisite:
– Patient-gas measurement module present
– Setting: Sample line is connected during test: Off
– Setting: Test breathing circuit: On
– Electronically controlled gas mixer or mechanically controlled gas mixer with
O
2 detection
