Tests
Press the O2+ key. The inflow of gas is audible. Keep the key pressed until the
pressure exceeds 15 hPa (cmH
2O).
5. Pull off the Y-piece and plug it on again. The pressure drops.
8.4.3.1 Special test settings
1. Test breathing circuit
Prerequisite:
– Patient-gas measurement module present
– Sample line is connected during test: On
– Electronically controlled gas mixer or mechanically controlled gas mixer with
O
2 detection
A check is made to ensure that the inspiratory hose, expiratory hose, and
breathing bag hose are connected correctly.
This can be deactivated in the System setup > System > System test dialog.
2. Verify O
2 delivery
Prerequisite:
– Patient-gas measurement module present
– Sample line is connected during test: On
– Electronically controlled gas mixer or mechanically controlled gas mixer with
O
2 detection
A check is made to ensure that the O
2 supply is actually delivering O2. This is
checked at the Y-piece, using the connected sample line.
