3.1 Product overview
3.2 Description
The facepiece has a plug-in connector. It is designed to be used with approved
positive pressure compressed air breathing apparatus or positive pressure
airline equipment. Special facepiece spectacles are available for users who
wear spectacles.
The facepiece can be used within a temperature range between –22 °F to
+140 °F (–30 °C to +60 °C). Lower or higher temperatures are permitted when
the exposure time is short.
3.3 Intended use
The facepiece protects the face and the eyes against aggressive media.
3.4 Approvals
The facepieces in combination with self-contained breathing apparatus, air line
breathing apparatus, or canister have been certified by NIOSH in compliance
with title 42, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 84. Only combinations that are
approved by NIOSH may be used. See approval label of the respective
breathing apparatus. Labels for SCBA sets can be found in the Instructions for
Use of the SCBA sets.
Furthermore, the facepiece is approved according to:
EN 136:1998 CL 3+
(EU) 2016/425
AS/NZS 1716:2012
(EU) 2016/2015 as brought into UK law and amended
