6 Maintenance
WARNING
Do not reach into the breathing connection opening on the
regulator so as not to damage the internal components.
1. Unhook the mounting bracket (2) on the front cap (1) from
the bubble deflector (6).
2. Move front cap (1) upwards and to the rear.
3. Unhook bubble deflector (6) at the top, move down
vertically and separate from housing (5) moving forward.
NOTICE
Do not pull bubble deflector directly forward, as this might
break the lower latches.
4. Remove the support ring (3) and the diaphragm (4) from
the housing.
5. Clean diaphragm and exhalation valve (remove from valve
seat if necessary). Inspect visually and replace if
necessary.
6. Visually inspect the inside of housing, and clean if
necessary.
CAUTION
When cleaning and rinsing with clear, fresh water, do not
press the purge valve, as this can result in water getting into
the medium-pressure hose.
