10 Optional additional functions
10.1 Pressure polymerisation
In combination with the optionally
available D insert the Drufomat scan
can be used for pressure polymerisa-
tion of resin repairs or as compressor
of plasters, embedding masses and
silicones.
Turn on the unit, swivel out plate recep-
tion (11) and heating element com-
pletely (4) by means of the operating
knobs (10/5) and take the F insert (6)
out of the bottom plate. The material to
be compressed (e. g. cast flask, dupli-
cation etc.) is to be placed inside the
D insert.
For the polymerisation of resins the D
insert is to be filled before with hand
warm water (corresponding to the indi-
cations of the resin manufacturer).
Fix the D insert in the bottom plate. By
moving the piston downwards the D
insert will be closed and will build up
the pre-adjusted pressure inside.
For this purpose go on as described in
point 8.4.
