10.2 Flask press
In combination with the optionally
available P insert the Drufomat scan
can also be used as flask press. One
or two flasks may be pressed at the
same time.
Turn on the unit, swivel out plate recep-
tion (11) and heating element com-
pletely (4) by means of the operating
knobs (10/5) and take the F insert (6)
out of the bottom plate. Insert the P
insert into the pressure chamber from
underneath.
For one flask: Put back the F insert (6)
into the bottom plate.
For two flasks: Remove nub plate and
insert bowl from F insert and insert them
into the bottom plate.
Place flasks onto the nub plate. By mov-
ing the piston with the P insert down-
wards the necessary pressure will be
exerted upon the flasks.
For this purpose go on as described in
point 8.4.

In order to attain a homogeneous
distribution of the material to be
compressed in the flask we recom-
mend an initial pressure of 29 psi
(2 bars) which can be increased
step by step up to 87 psi (6 bars)
during the pressing procedure (see
point 8.2).
