Installation – Collectors
For optimum performance the 3.
collectors should be located no
more than 20m from the storage
tank. To optimise efciency, the
collectors should be as close
as possible to the storage tank.
Irrespective of the pipe length, it is
important that both the solar ow
and return lines are insulated with
high temperature, UV stabilized
13mm closed cell insulation to
minimise heat loss.
Ensure that the roof structure is 4.
suitable to support the weight of the
collectors. The Dux collectors weigh
approximately 40kg each when
lled with water or heat exchange
uid.
The collectors should be installed 5.
with a minimum inclination of
10 degrees and a maximum
inclination of 45 degrees.
