Setup Menu
Pressing the button opens the Setup sub menu, see following section. If this menu item is not available
it has to be activated via the Password dialog box.
3.5 Setup menu
CAN address
Pressing the button opens the CAN address dialog box where the user can select the CAN address of
the paging console in the range of 1 to 16 using the n
or p buttons.
Pressing the
button stores the address setting and returns to the service menu.
CAN baudrate
Pressing the button opens the CAN baudrate dialog box, which by pressing the nor p buttons, lets the
user select the CAN baud rates.
Pressing the
button stores the baudrate setting and returns to the service menu.
CAN termination
Pressing the button opens the CAN termination dialog box. Press the n or p button to activate/
deactivate the CAN termination. Please read chapter CAN Bus principles (page 19) for details about CAN
termination.
Pressing the
button stores the setting and returns to the service menu.
Firmware vVersion
This menu item shows version of the firmware that is actually installed in the paging console.
CAUTION:
Address 0 (delivery status) disables remote communication between the paging
console and the DPM 8016. The paging console does not appear in the system, even
though it is physically connected to the CAN-bus. Each CAN address may exist only
once at a DPM 8016. Otherwise, network conflicts may arise.
