DiSEqC
Digital Satellite Equipment Control; digital system with which the
receiver can control different components of the external equipment.
Used especially for selecting between several satellite positions (e.g.
Astra and Eutelsat).

RF
connection
Coaxial connection for LNB antenna cable.
FTA
Free to Air services (free to receive). These channels can be received
without a decoder.
LNB
Low Noise Block Amplifier / Converter; device in the centre of the
antenna which converts the incoming high frequency signals from
satellites into the low frequency range and amplifies them at the same
time.
Mute
Button on the remote control that temporarily mutes the sound.
OSD
On-screen display; on-screen menu for controlling the functions.
PID
Identification number of a received data stream. The PIDs ensure that a
channel is received completely.
Receiver
Receiver that converts signals from the antenna into video and audio
signals.
HDMI
High Definition Multimedia Interface. Connection for transmitting picture
and sound in HD quality.
Y/PB/PR
Connection for transmission of high quality image separated by RGB
colours
RGB
Separate colour information transmission (red-green-blue)
