Depending on the rating, the braking resistances are available in
three different versions. If the type designation ends with a “–T”,
the resistor or the resistor combination is provided with a
thermostat for up to 230 V, 1 A, AC-1.
Brake resistors BR1…-T-PF and BR3…-T-PF
BR1…-T-PF and BR3…-T-PF series resistors are mounted in a
perforated housing and are provided with a thermostatic circuit
breaker. The housings are made from galvanized perforated sheet
metal and are open at the bottom. When mounted they comply
with degree of protection IP 65.
Brake resistors BR2… and BR2…-T-SAF
BR2… and BR2…-T-SAF series resistors are short-circuit proof
and intrinsically safe, and are mounted in an anodized aluminum
housing with IP 65 protection.
The BR2…-T-SFA version is a combination of several BR2…
resistors with a thermostatic circuit breaker, assembled in a
mounting frame for fitting in the base (footprint) of the MMX
frequency inverters.

The surface temperature of the resistors can reach values
of over 100 °C!
