PROTECTIVE FEATURES
Freeze protection:
If the compressor runs longer than 10 minutes after cooling, and the tube temperature is less than or
equal to 2°C for aperiod of 20 seconds, the compressor and water spray will be deactivated, other  llings
work and E4 will appear on the display, the device activates the freeze protection and buttons are inactive
(with the exception to the On/O switch). As soon as the temperature of the tubes rises above 8°C, the
protection is deactivated and the original state is restored.
Water  lling protection:
If the water in the container exceeds the warning level, “FL” will appear on the display and the Water Full
indicator will light up. In this case, you shall let the water condensed in the device drain out; otherwise the
device switches o automatically after 5 sounds. (For more information on draining options, see chapter
“Draining water”). If the device is not manually switched o , as son as the water is completely drained, it
will return to its previous operating state. The device can always be started via the POWER button.
Compressor delay protection
This device includes protection against the compressor restarting. With the exception to the  rst time the
device is connected to apower source, when the compressor may start immediately, the 3-minute delayed
start protection feature is activated after the compressor is switched o .
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
The power supply shall be disconnected before cleaning or performing maintenance.
1. Do not use benzine, diluent or other chemicals for cleaning. These substances could damage the surface
of the device and deform plastic components.
2. Do not wash the device under running water or with water from ahose.
3. If the power supply is damaged, refer to aprofessional for repairing!
Cleaning the air  lter
The air  ow decreases when the air  lter is clogged with dust/impurities. We recommend
cleaning the  lter every two weeks.
Filter: Hold the evaporator  lter frame and the cooler  lter frame and pull them gently in the direction
indicated by the arrow (see  g. 15).
Screens: Hold the evaporator  ltration screen and the cooler  ltration screen and pull them gently in the
direction indicated by the arrow (see  g. 16).
Note: even force shall be applied when removing the frame or screen to prevent bending or damaging.
Remove the frame  rst followed by the  ltration screen.
