Build a shelter above the unit to protect it from the rain or snow. Be careful not to obstruct air flow around the unit.

Use outdoor unit that is specially designed to resist corrosion.

When installed vertically (upward or downward), the lower end of the air outlet needs to be connected to the
L-shaped metal air duct and fastened by screws.

• Install unit so that air outlet fan is at a 90° angle to the direction of the wind. If needed, build a barrier in
front of the unit to protect it from extremely heavy winds.
